Las Vegas Lights FC drew FC Tulsa 1-1 on Wednesday evening at ONEOK Field in Tulsa, Okla. Milo Yosef scored the opening goal for the hosts in the 38th minute before Coleman Gannon answered in the 78th minute.
Tulsa appeared to take the lead in the sixth minute when Aaron Bibout beat Raiko Arozarena on a volley from the right side, but the move was whistled offside.
The Lights almost took the lead in the 37th minute when J.C. Ngando danced in the box to find a half chance. His shot was deflected by Alexis Souahy and off the crossbar.
Tulsa went ahead in the 38th minute when Faysal Bettache played a brilliant ball in behind the Lights defense, and Yosef one-timed a finish to the near post with the outside of his right boot.
Tulsa had a chance to double its lead in the 45th minute when Bettache led a counterattack and picked out Bibout, but his shot was saved comfortably by Arozarena.
Bibout had another opportunity to get on the score sheet in the 56th minute when his open header went wide of the back post.
The Lights found their equalizer in the 78th minute when Gannon beat his defender on the righthand side and rifled a shot past Johan Peñaranda at the near post.
Las Vegas finishes the evening in sixth in the Western Conference on 39 points from 27 matches. The Lights, however, sit just two points outside of second.
